Withdrawals - Frequently Asked Questions

How do I withdraw cash?

As per central bank Bank Negara Malaysia regulations on (CTL) Cash Threshold Limits, AME allows a maximum of RM 24,000 cash withdrawal.

Fund withdrawals of RM 24,000 and above can only be conducted via bank transfer.

Example: - Customer intends to withdraw RM 50,000. AME permits the user to withdraw RM 24,000 in cash and the balance of RM 26,000 directed to the user's bank account.

How do I complete each withdrawal type?

 a) Bank Transfer
Step 1: Please provide us with your bank details, including the account's name, bank name, account number, and bank address.
Step 2: Email us at admin@astonandsons.com.my to provide additional bank details. 
Step 3: Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and submit your request.

Withdrawals are typically processed within 1 to 2 working days once funds have settled. We will send an email when your bank transfer has been processed.
* There are no charges for withdrawals requested by bank transfer.

b) Cash Transaction
Step 1: Please schedule an appointment ahead of time to allow us to prepare the necessary documents. 
Step 2: We require a copy of your (NRIC) National Identification Card or Passport for in-person verification. 

* Please note that cash transactions are limited to RM 24,000. It may take 1 to 2 working days to arrange the necessary documents and funds for cash transactions.

What are some exceptions to withdrawals?

To protect your funds and minimise fraud on your account, AME may send withdrawals to a payment method other than what was initially requested. This will occur under the following instances:

A) If your account has bank transactions completed less than 60 days ago, we may choose to refund to your original bank account instead. AME will notify you via email if we have sent funds back to the original bank account. 

Depending on your bank, funds will typically post to your bank account within 1 to 2 business days to process your withdrawal.

What are some possible delays in withdrawals?

Depending on your bank, funds are typically posted to your account within 1 to 2 working days after we have processed your bank transfer. 
AME will process your withdrawal as soon as the funds are available. We will send an email confirming that your bank transfer is underway.

Is there a limit on withdrawals?

There is no limit on any withdrawal amounts.
Cash Withdrawals will have a limit imposed of RM 24,000

Are there any fees to withdraw?

AME does not charge any additional fees for withdrawals requesting bank transfer or cash.

Why can I only receive funds into the bank account that was used originally for withdrawal?

To prevent fraud or account hacking of the client's account, we will not transfer funds into an account from which we have yet to verify and received funds.
* We ask that before you make any significant changes to your banking information that you consider this policy. 

If a bank account is closed or we are unable to fulfil a transfer request, we may request for you to complete specific (AML/CFT) Anti-Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing compliance documents

Can AME credit the funds using other payment methods than what I used initially? 

Our policy is that withdrawals must be payable to the originating account. Suppose you order or fund using a bank account, and it has been less than 60 days since your last transaction. In that case, the funds will be credited back to the originating payment method.
